Sport League - Week 4 (Seoul) #bowling_scores

Bowled on the Seoul pattern tonight, and improved again this week.  I rolled a 203, 203, 182, 160, 191 for a 939 series.  My spare shooting faltered in the 3rd game and I dropped it in the channel twice on the first ball in the 5th game (one was following a double ... ouch).  It was the 1st time that I felt comfortable going back to my high rev release since I started bowling right handed again.  However, I don't have the same ball speed (14.75 mph).  I was happy that I was able to stay around the pocket for all 5 games.  I played the outside line (1st arrow, and standing on the 21 board) with a high rev release and a weak ball.  (It gave me a smooth arc.)  As far as my spare shooting goes, I was 10 out of 14 on single pin spares.  Three of those were the 6 pin, which should be the easiest pin for me to pick up.

Sport League - Week 2 (Mexico City) #bowling_scores

I did improve this week over last week on the Mexico City pattern.  I made some adjustments on my approach and my release this past week. That resulted in better spare shooting and my 1st 200 on the sport league this summer.  I rolled a 159, 219, 163, 169 and a 157 for a 867 and a 173 average for the night.  The changes I made to my release and approach that I moved up about a foot on the approach, tried to slow down my swing and adjusted my release with my thumb at 10 o'clock through the whole swing.  I also concentrated on keeping my elbow in, and I think the adjustments helped a lot.  I started missing to the left again in the 4th and 5th game, and once I figured out that I wasn't keeping my elbow in, I didn't have any more opens.  Definitely room for improvement, but it was still a good week.  (Missed getting my money back by less than 20 pins.)  My pin fall is listed below.

Sport League - Week 1 (Mexico City)

Bowled on the Mexico City pattern tonight.  Hadn't bowled in a sport league in a couple of years and didn't have any have any visions of shooting the lights out; but I didn't think I would struggle as much as I did on spare conversions.  I definitely left some room for improvement, and we will be bowling on the same pattern next week.  To make it a little more difficult, I have also been having timing issues.  My arm swing is ahead of my feet, and I haven't figured out how to fix that yet (a work in progress).  Rolled a 5 game set of 148, 185, 139, 162 and a 149 for a 783 series (156 average).  Hopefully I can improve on that next week.  My pin fall is listed below.
